How did you meet your mate?

Everyone remembers their first date--a long walk on the beach, dinner and a movie, maybe a romantic night on the town. We want to know how you met your mate. Tell us about the first time you laid eyes on your sweetheart.

I actually met my mate in the parking lot of a job that I hated (at first). We both were walking to our cars at the end of the day and he asked me my name and I asked him his. That ended quickly because I really wasn't interested. The next day at work he wasn't there. I asked his friend where he was and he told him that I was interested. Don't ask me how I got his number (I don't even remember at this time), I called him and we set a date for that weekend and went to Franklin Mills Mall to hang out and get to know one another. My first date present was a leather coat. I was shocked too, I was not expecting it. We have been together for 20 years to date.
