There are few food items that satisfy the soul like a good taco. Sure, it’s not as classically American as a hamburger or as widely appreciated as pizza, but its every bit as delicious. If you value a good taco, check out these standouts.

1. Café Tango

The newly opened Marino’s of Mullica Hill is bringing the sustainable movement to a casual dining setting. Tapping area farms, Marino’s sandwiches, pizzas and salads will change seasonally and boast locally sourced ingredients. Executive chef Anthony Marino, who studied with such notables as Eric Ripert, will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. MarinosOfMullicaHill.com

Buzz-worthy Philadelphia chef Chris Scarduzio, who operates Mia in Caesars, will soon open his second A.C. eatery, Scarduzio’s, a massive 230-seat steakhouse at the Showboat. Look for an opening by mid-summer. Also, Luke Palladino, who formerly cooked at Specchio and Ombra at The Borgata, has unveiled an eponymous Italian restaurant at Harrah’s in town.

The 25th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Festival kicks off on June 26 in Hammonton. Expect food, crafts and live entertainment on the grounds of Hammonton High School. Admission is free. Call (609) 561-9080 for more information.

Mantua resident Bill “The Beerman” Watkins is taking his job as a beer vendor at Citizens Bank Park to new levels. Cherry Hill’s Seasons 52 has welcomed John F. Piper as the new executive chef/ partner. Piper has cooked in kitchens from Philly to A.C. and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
